Ackley Barnes was a wizard and prominent member of Victor Rookwood's gang in the late 19th century in Hogwarts Legacy.
Biography[]
Not much is known about Ackley's past, though at one point he joined the Rookwood Gang and eventually became one of its prominent members, likely due to being an intelligent and observant thief.
However, at one point around 1890, he sought to become a legitimate businessman and partnered with Alfred Lawley, a professional herbologist in Hogsmeade, to supply Venomous Tentaculas as a potential security measure for private residences. Things went south though when Alfred declared Ackley too "volatile" to work with and ended their partnership. Ackley, not one to take being slighted in such a manner, than hatched a plan to steal Alfred's special Venomous Tentacula he had been growing to test their business plan, thus allowing Ackley to open his own rival company.
