Adelaide Oakes is a fifth-year Hufflepuff student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Description[]
- A studious Hufflepuff, Adelaide Oakes was raised by her uncle, Rowland Oakes, after her father was killed. Rowland is a brave adventurer and a metal trader with goblins, a profession not without risk. Adelaide worries for his safety when he goes missing.[1]
Biography[]
Adelaide lost her parents early on, with her mother dying during childbirth and her father dying when she was five. Her uncle, Rowland, then took her in and did what he could to provide for her. Rowland made a living as a metal trader and Adelaide enjoyed helping him, having a knack for checking over his business details and correspondence.
Adelaide started to attend Hogwarts in 1886 and was sorted into Hufflepuff, where she became friends with Evangeline Bardsley. But with school equipment not being cheap, her uncle traveled a lot to pay for his niece's expenses.
Involvement[]
Adelaide attends Defence Against the Dark Arts and Herbology Class.
During her fifth year, Adelaide becomes worried as she has not heard from her uncle in a while and knows that he was trying to make a risky business contact with some of Ranrok's Loyalists in the area.
Personality[]
Adelaide enjoys Herbology and Divination classes but dislikes Astronomy class.
