Crispin Dunne was an Aranshire inhabitant in Hogwarts Legacy.
Biography[]
When he was a child, Crispin was being chased by some local bullies and at one point he slid into the hollow of a tree to hide from them. However, the hollow turned out to be home to a spider's nest and Crispin found himself cover in spiders but unable to run out of the hollow as the bullies were right outside, leaving him feeling like he was stuck there for hours while the spiders crawled all over. This event caused him to develop arachnophobia and even as an adult he wasn't able to overcome this fear.
By the late 19th century, Crispin had gone on to become a trader throughout the surrounding hamlets, though he tended to do the most business in Aranshire. In 1890, the hamlet was overrun by huge spiders to the point everyone had to evacuate or risk being killed. Crispin managed to escape and stayed in Hogsmeade, but worried that his friend Mary Portman hadn't been heard from and tried to get the Ministry to assist, but the Ministry seemed too busy with other things to help out the hamlet. Eventually, he was able to get assistance from the new fifth-year student.

- While he will appear in Aranshire like a vendor before the side quest Tangled Web becomes available, he can't be interacted with. Once Tangled Web is complete, he'll then act like a vendor, though he won't have any unique dialogue.
