Crucio, also called the Cruciatus Curse, is an Unforgivable Curse in Hogwarts Legacy. It inflicts damage and crippling pain to an enemy, incapacitating them for a brief amount of time. It cannot be blocked and will break any Shield Charm.
Sebastian Sallow offers to teach it during In the Shadow of the Study, but his offer can be declined. Depending on choices made during subsequent quests involving Sebastian, the player may get a second chance to learn the spell later.
Crucio can be used in the Dark Arts Battle Arena even if it has not been learned. This arena is only available as part of the Dark Arts Pack.

Damage most enemies to writhe in pain as they take damage over time. Also curses the victim – and cursed enemies take extra damage.

- Crucio Mastery: Striking an enemy cursed by Crucio releases a projectile that curses a nearby enemy. Projectiles have homing capability and targets hostiles randomly.
- Curse Sapper: Defeating a cursed enemy restores a small portion of your health.
