Descendo is a Force spell in Hogwarts Legacy. It is learned from Professor Mudiwa Onai during her assignment. It slams an enemy or object down with great force. It does no direct damage, but the target suffers considerable damage from hitting the ground. It will break the purple Shield Charms used by some enemies.
Description[]
Deals no direct damage, but objects and enemies that are slammed to the ground will suffer considerable impact damage. Airborne enemies will take even greater damage upon hitting the ground.
Uses[]
Descendo slams an enemy or object into the ground with great force. If cast on a grounded enemy, the enemy will be briefly suspended before impacting the ground.
While the initial hit does not deal damage, targets will receive damage when they impact the ground. Airborne enemies will take extra damage when they hit the ground as a result of being hit by Descendo. As a Force Spell, Descendo will break purple Shield Charms.
Descendo is particularly effective against Goblin Loyalist Commanders, as they can be slammed into the ground while they leap towards the player to attack. Descendo is also useful against the larger spider enemies such as Matriarchs and Acromantulas, as hitting them while they rear up to attack will bury their forequarters into the ground, leaving them vulnerable to attacks while they recover.

Descendo Mastery[]
Unlocked by spending Talent Points in the Spells Section. An enemy which hits the ground from a Descendo hit will generate a shockwave, damaging any other enemies within its range.
