Disillusionment is a Utility spell in Hogwarts Legacy. It is learned from Sebastian Sallow during Secrets of the Restricted Section. It makes you less visible to enemies, causing them to take longer to react to your presence.
Description[]
Causes you to blend into your surroundings, making it more difficult for others to perceive you. Perfect for sneaking or approaching enemies undetected to be able to cast Petrificus Totalus.
Uses[]
The Disillusionment spell can only be utilized for stealth purposes, such as sneaking past enemies and opening Disillusionment chests and doors, which have a large eyeball to detect intruders. The effects of the spell can be canceled by pressing the button/key a second time. The spell will also be canceled if an enemy spots you or if you use certain other spells.
While this spell is active, you crouch low and move slowly. Sprinting is not possible unless the Human Demiguse Talent have been unlocked. You can sneak up on enemies and cast Petrificus Totalus by pressing the button/key when the prompt appears.
Upgrades[]
- Sense of Secrecy I: Enemies' ability to detect you is reduced, giving you additional time to hide.
- Human Demiguise: Grants you the ability to Sprint while using Disillusionment
- Sense of Secrecy II: Enemies' ability to detect you is reduced, giving you more time to hide.
