Duncan Hobhouse is a fifth-year Ravenclaw student in Hogwarts Legacy.
Biography[]
When he was young, a puffskein stuck its tongue up his nose and ever since, he had a great fear of them. He was able to keep this fear hidden from everyone until his fifth year at Hogwarts when Professor Hecat was having them practice repelling boggarts in Defence Against the Dark Arts and the boggart took the form of a puffskein in front of the whole class. Some students like Everett Clopton made fun of this, calling him "Puffskein Dunkein" while others, like Poppy, tried to offer Duncan help to overcome his fear, though he was too afraid to take her up on her offer. Instead, he then tried to tout he was braver than the rest of them as he'd been in the Hidden Herbology Corridor, a place that the previous Herbology professor had kept dangerous plants in and was so overrun now, nobody dared enter it anymore. Only issue was he'd never been and thus, needed some type of proof to back his claim.
