Exploration challenges are challenges that reward the player for various exploration-related activities. The rewards include [new appearances and Brooms, increased storage for gear, and an expanded Ancient Magic meter.
Collect Ancient Magic Traces[]
These challenges become available after Percival Rackham's Trial. They require the player to find Ancient Magic Hotspots and solve the associated puzzles. Completing these challenges will increase the capacity of the Ancient Magic meter.

Pop Balloons[]
These challenges require the player to pop sets of balloons by flying into them with a broom. Two sets of balloons appear at the Quidditch Pitch and Hogsmeade Station during Madam Kogawa's Assignment 1, while others appear in various places around the Highlands.
