Gladwin Moon is a character found in Hogwarts Legacy. He is the caretaker of Hogwarts Castle.
Biography[]
Gladwin grew up in Korea where he had a traumatic encounter with a demiguise, resulting in a great fear of them. He later attended Hogwarts, and while he was known to make fun of others, such as Piers Pemberton for his hair, he proved to be a popular and interesting student. This, however, didn't translate over to adulthood, where he wasn't nearly as successful and while he took on the role of Hogwarts caretaker, he viewed the job as beneath him and was sub-standard in his caretaking duties.
In 1890, right near the beginning of the school year, he headed into Hogsmeade when he rounded a corner and ran into a boggart, which immediately took the form of his secret fear: a demiguise. He quickly realized this was done intentionally, as soon after, he began to find demiguise statues holding a moon all over the area to no doubt antagonize him. To help him with this, he enlisted the aid of the new fifth-year student to remove the statues as they found them while Gladwin tried to figure out who was behind the statues. Eventually, the student figured out the culprit was Piers Pemberton, pointing out that Piers had been bullied by Gladwin. That said, on learning Piers was behind the statues, Gladwin found the whole plan brilliant and hilarious and set off to pay a visit to Piers, with the two eventually agreeing to move on from their past actions towards each other.
