Gold is the currency used in Hogwarts Legacy. It is used to purchase gear, brooms, potion ingredients, and more.
Gold can be found lying loose or in sacks and chests; Disillusionment Chests in particular always contain 500 gold. Gold can also be earned as a reward for some side quests, and by selling unwanted gear to a merchant.
