Highwing is a white female Hippogriff in Hogwarts Legacy. She was named by Poppy Sweeting, with whom she has a close relationship. After the main quest The High Keep, she becomes available to the player as a Flying Mount and can be cared for in a Vivarium.

Biography[]
Sometime around 1885, Highwing was captured by poachers, who were originally going to sell her but figured Highwing was more valuable dead than alive and planned to kill her. Luckily that night, a 10-year-old Poppy, who'd been at odds for awhile with her poacher parents and their ways, decided to escape that night and rescued Highwing. Highwing flew Poppy away to Poppy's grandmother's home, though they stopped for a moment to watch mooncalves dancing.
After that night, Highwing remained one of Poppy's closest confidantes and when Poppy started attending Hogwarts, Highwing followed her to school, staying around the Forbidden Forest.
However, around 1890, poachers in the area had grown bolder to the point Poppy worried for Highwing's safety. This fear was not unfounded, as soon after poachers did indeed capture Highwing and another hippogriff and held them at Falbarton Castle to sell off at a later date. Luckily, Poppy's new friend, a new fifth-year student, broke into the castle with Natsai Onai and the two rescued both Highwing and the other hippogriff.
