Imperio, also called the Imperius Curse, is an Unforgivable Curse in Hogwarts Legacy. It controls an enemy, forcing them to fight as your ally for a short amount of time. It cannot be blocked and will break any Shield Charm.
Sebastian Sallow offers to teach Imperio during In the Shadow of Time, but his offer can be declined. Depending on choices made during subsequent quests involving Sebastian, the player may get a second chance to learn the spell later.
Imperio can be used in the Dark Arts Battle Arena even if it has not been learned. This arena is only available as part of the Dark Arts Pack.
Description[]
Temporarily forces enemies to fight as if they were your companion. While under your control, they take reduced damage from other enemies to prolong their allegiance to you. Also curses the victim – and cursed enemies take extra damage.
Upgrades[]
Imperio Mastery: An enemy under your control with Imperio curses other targets with each successful strike.
Tactics[]
- Imperio can be particularly effective when cast on a troll or other powerful enemy who is capable of quickly wiping out a number of lesser enemies.
