In the Shadow of Fate is Sebastian Sallow's eighth relationship quest in Hogwarts Legacy.
This quest does not count towards the Complete Side/Relationship Quests, so XP is not earned for completing it.

"Sebastian wants me to meet him in the Undercroft after the events that took place in the catacomb."

Conclusion[]
"Sebastian is distraught over all that has happened – the Dark Magic he has performed, the murder of his uncle, Anne's anger with him. I've never seen him like this. I spoke with Ominis, who has smoothed things over with the Headmaster. He said that he and Anne can't decide whether to turn Sebastian in or not. He asked for my advice."

- " I know why Sebastian did the things he did. I don't think we should turn him in. I told Ominis and he agreed."

- "My mind is made up: Sebastian can't run from what he did. We must turn him in. Ominis agreed."
Notes[]
- If you choose to turn Sebastian in and do not yet know Crucio, Imperio, and Avada Kedavra, it will no longer be possible to learn them from him in the Undercroft.
