In the Shadow of the Undercroft is a main quest in Hogwarts Legacy.
This quest and The Room of Requirement are received after Flying Class. The two quests can be done in either order.

- Meet Sebastian
"Sebastian knows about a secret room where we can discuss things privately."
- Enter the secret room
"This room looks long-forgotten. I wonder what it was originally used for."
- Explore the room
"I wonder how Ominis found this place. Let's see what Sebastian says."
- Talk to Sebastian
"What a brilliant place to practice the Blasting Curse that Sebastian taught me. I'm glad he trusted me with this secret."
- Practise casting Confringo
"Now that I've mastered Confringo, I should check back in with Sebastian."
- Check back with Sebastian
"Sebastian said I can use the Undercroft any time I'd like, but I should be going for now – it's getting late."
- Leave the Undercroft

Conclusion[]
"Sebastian showed me a hidden room called 'the Undercroft' where we could talk privately. I finally told him the truth about my ability to see traces of ancient magic. In return, Sebastian taught me the Blasting Curse, Confringo. The Undercroft is a great place to practise spells; I can see why Sebastian wants to keep it a secret."
