Incendio is a Damage spell in Hogwarts Legacy. It is learned from Professor Dinah Hecat during her first assignment.
Description[]
Its range is short and requires you to be close to the target. This spell deals significant damage and lights certain objects on fire. Enemies hit with fire-based attacks will continue to take damage for a few seconds, during which time collisions will result in incendiary bursts.
Uses[]
Incendio deals fire damage to any enemies struck by it. Any enemies hit by Incendio flames will catch fire, causing them to take damage for a short time. If a burning enemy collides with another, it will result in an incendiary burst. As a damage spell, Incendio is effective at breaking red Shield Charms.
Since Incendio deals massive damage at short range, it is best used in conjunction with Accio. Players can pull enemies closer to them using the Summoning Charm, before unleashing a big burst of damage with Incendio. When upgraded, Incendio can deal Area-of-Effect damage, which makes it useful against large groups of enemies in close proximity.
Incendio is one of two spells (the other being Confringo) which is essential for defeating Inferi. It can also be used to solve some puzzles that require fire, such as lighting braziers or torches.

Incendio Mastery[]
Unlocked by spending Talent Points in the Spells Section. Casting Incendio will create a ring of fire around the player, igniting any enemies or objects that come into contact with it.

- Incendio comes from the Latin word incendium, which translates to "fire".
- Not including Ancient Magic attacks, Incendio is the first damage spell the player will learn in the main game.
- Incendio has the shortest range of all spells the player can use in combat.
