Like a Moth to a Frame is a side quest in Hogwarts Legacy. The quest is received after talking to Lenora Everleigh in Central Hall.

Objectives[]

"Lenora Everleigh appears to be looking for a clue. Perhaps I can help her investigate."

  • Speak with Lenora Everleigh

"Lenora mentioned that the painting revealed a clue when she cast Lumos near it. Perhaps I should try that myself."

  • Discover the painting's secret

"The painting revealed an image of what appears to be a location in the Central Hall. I should search the area to see if I can find it."

  • Find the location depicted in the painting

"I believe I have found the location depicted in the painting. Strangely enough, a moth that looks strikingly like the ones carved into the picture frame is embedded in the wall there. I wonder if there's a way to dislodge it and bring it back to the painting."

  • Return the moth to the painting

"I should let Lenora know that I've solved the mystery of the painting."

  • Talk to Lenora Everleigh

Reward[]

Conclusion[]

Tell Lenora the answer
"I spoke to Lenora and told her how I solved the mystery of the empty painting. She was disappointed that she didn't work it out herself, but was glad the puzzle was solved. I suspect more of these paintings may be in the castle so I should keep my eyes open."
Do not tell Lenora the answer
"I told Lenora that I solved the mystery of the empty painting, but, to her ire, I chose not to tell her how I did it. I thought she'd rather figure it out herself. I suspect more of these paintings may be in the castle so I should keep my eyes open."
