Noctua Gaunt was a descendant of Salazar Slytherin and Ominis' aunt in Hogwarts Legacy.
Biography[]
Unlike most of her family, Noctua didn't agree with the family's use of the Dark Arts nor their ancestor Salazar Slytherin's pure-blood supremacy views, making her Ominis' favorite relative, as they were the few in the family that shared these views.
At one point, Noctua was convinced she could find information that would show the rest of the family there was more to Salazar than his pure-blood views. She sought out his secret Scriptorium in the hopes it'd have what she was looking for and, despite having parted with her brother on bad terms, regularly wrote to him about her attempts to find the Scriptorium. While she managed to find it and make her way through the puzzles, she met a dead end just outside the inner chamber, blocked by a door with screaming faces that required the use of Crucio to pass. Sadly, she met her untimely end there as she couldn't go backwards and had no one to cast the curse on to pass through.
