Otto Dibble is an assistant at Gladrags Wizardwear in Hogwarts Legacy.
Biography[]
In the late 19th century, Otto was working as an assistant at Gladrags Wizardwear, a clothing shop run by Augustus Hill. At one point, Otto began to secretly date Augustus' daughter, Rosie, though the two kept it a secret as they had the feeling her father would not approve of the relationship and see it as a betrayal.
About 6 months after they got secretly engaged, Otto was reading over a love letter Rosie had given him when Theophilus Harlow came into the shop and Otto hastily hid the letter. Harlow then asked about an "order" he placed and Otto went to check but learned it didn't exist, only to come back to the front of the shop and saw Harlow with the letter that spelled out the couple's relationship. Keeping the letter for blackmail, Harlow then noted he wouldn't say anything as long as Otto "cooperated" by giving him expensive items for free. Trapped as revealing the truth would likely mean losing both his job and Rosie, Otto relented, hiding the extortion with some clever bookkeeping and using some of his own personal savings to cover up the difference.
Soon after Hogwarts' new fifth-year student found and destroyed the incriminating letter for him, Otto and Rosie eloped and went on their honeymoon, leaving behind a note to Augustus about their relationship.
