Percival Rackham was the leader of the Keepers and a former professor in Hogwarts Legacy.
Biography[]
Early years[]
Rackham started to attend Hogwarts during his fifth year, where was sorted into Hufflepuff house. At one point he became aware of his ability to see and use Ancient Magic and began to hone this ability.
Adult years[]
As an adult, he later became a professor at Hogwarts under Headmistress Niamh Fitzgerald. As his ancient magic abilities grew, he began to realize the potential dangers if such knowledge fell into the wrong hands and thus formed the Keepers with Fitzgerald and their colleagues, Charles Rookwood and San Bakar, with the purpose of safeguarding ancient magic.
At one point the group used their abilities to revive a drought ridden hamlet, Feldcroft. Years after this, Rookwood had the group meet up as he'd been approached by a new fifth-year, Isidora Morganach, who had saw strange swirls from the day they saved her hamlet and recognized him from it. The Keepers then introduced themselves to Isidora with Rackham informing her that what she was seeing was ancient magic and that he could train her how to use it.
Mentoring Isidora[]
During one training session with Isidora, he saw something was wrong and Isidora explained how she couldn't get her mind off her father, who was so deep in his pain over the loss of her brother, he still hadn't uttered a word since he had passed. She questioned Rackham on why, instead of just creating pretty spiral structures, they couldn't also use ancient magic to remove one's pain. While Rackham tried to explain magic wasn't a cure all and other's pain wasn't necessarily there for her to take, Isidora walked off.
Soon after Isidora graduated, she accepted the Defence Against the Dark Arts teaching position and returned, this time joining her mentor as a fellow professor. Rackham warmly welcomed her back and asked how her travels went, to which she noted she'd tell them more that night if all the Keepers would join her at her home.
