Piers Pemberton was a wizard living around Hogsmeade in the late 19th century in Hogwarts Legacy.
Biography[]
Piers attended Hogwarts around the same time as Gladwin Moon, though Gladwin and others tended to bully Piers over his hair, with Gladwin being one of the worst ones and even nicknaming him "Pigtails Piers". When they graduated, Piers was glad as it meant never having to deal with Gladwin again. While he reveled in the fact that Gladwin became Hogwarts' caretaker – anny position Piers viewed as beneath him – he became upset on seeing Gladwin around Hogsmeade.
Wishing to get rid of Gladwin's presence, Piers setup a plan where Gladwin ran into a boggart near the beginning of the 1890-1891 school year and learned Gladwin's greatest fear were demiguises. Piers then created demiguise statues holding a moon – a play on Gladwin's last name – and placed them all around the area to keep Gladwin "in his place." This worked for a time until the new fifth-year student began to gather them up and Piers wrote to them to not interfere, but making the mistake of doing so on his own stationary. The student sought him out and eventually Piers relented, content that he'd tormented Gladwin enough for him to learn his lesson. Later on, Gladwin paid Piers a visit, having learned Piers was behind it and therefore found it all hilarious, and the two agreed to move on.
