Satyavati Shah is Hogwarts' Astronomy professor in Hogwarts Legacy.
Biography[]
Satyavati grew up with her sister, Suchrita, in a mostly Muggle world though they were from a magical family. However, it quickly became apparent her sister was a squib and thus, wouldn't really be able to fully participate in the magical world. Instead, the two sisters bonded by spending countless nights stargazing on their rooftop, with astronomy becoming one of the few subjects they could study together.
While her sister went off to study at a Muggle school, Satyavati headed to Hogwarts, where she was sorted into Ravenclaw and some time after graduating, Satyavati took the position of Astronomy Professor at Hogwarts. She and her sister remained close and when they'd meet up, still go stargazing and take trips together.

- She is possibly of Indian or Hindu descent.
- She is not particularly fond of Divination. When asked by the new Fifth Year Student, her explanations stemmed from the confusion between Astronomy and Astrology. It is also because Divination, like Astrology, are mere pseudoscience, if that.
