The Plight of the House-Elf is a side quest in Hogwarts Legacy. Deek is located in the right alcove of the Room.
Note: While this quest's required level is actually Lv20, this Quest can be done at the earliest of Lv17 because that's the level that its prerequisite quest, The High Keep, is unlocked.

Deek marked the location of the cave where Tobbs can be found on my map. I should head in that direction.

It looks like poor Tobbs didn't make it. But he did leave a note behind. I should read what it says.

Conclusion[]
I went to the Spider Cave in search of Deek's friend Tobbs. While I did manage to find Tobbs, it was unfortunately too late and he had perished from a swarm of spiders. It's painful to realise just how horribly this house-elf was treated by his master.
Notes[]
- Burn the cobweb at the end of the walkway with either Incendio or Confringo, collect a leech, and pick up the Basket Note.
- Before jumping the gap, climb down on the right side to pick up another leech and a chest.
- Climb back up, jump the gap, then go through the crawl space space on the left to open a large chest.
- Crawl back the way you came and defeat 2 Thornback Scurriours and 1 Thornback Shooter, then destroy the nearby wooden boxes with Basic Cast to open a bag.
- Burn the nearby cobweb, then go down the tunnel to kill a Thornback Scurriour and gather 2 Horklumps. Turn the corner to gather 2 Horklumps, defeat many Thornback Hatchlings jumping from their pods, defeat another Thornback Scurriour, and burn another cobweb to open a large chest.
- Go down the next cavern to gather 2 Horklumps, defeat 2 Thornback Shooters, go right to burn another cobweb, and open a bag.
- Continue down the cavern to defeat more Thornback Hatchlings and open the bag on the right, then jump the gap and go into the crawl space, open the bag on the left, and slide down the slope.
- Defeat 2 Thornback Ambushers, 1 Thornback Matriarch, and 1 Thornback Shooter, then collect Tobbs's Note and a leech.
- Burn the cobweb to the left, follow the trail to collect a Horklump, and use Basic Cast to destroy the wooden boxes blocking the crawl space.
- Defeat the Acromantula and it's continuous summons of Thornback Scurriours and Thornback Shooters, then grab the Horklump.
- From the opposite side of the Horklump, burn the cobweb in the crawl space or climb up the ledge to reach another Horklump and a large chest.
- From the opposite side of where you entered the room, climb up another ledge and burn the cobweb. Follow the path, then go down to the left to collect a leech, then swim and burn another cobweb to open a chest.
- Go back to the upper path and jump the gap to destroy the pallet. Find the Note from Tobbs and a leech by Tobbs's body, and a bag nearby.
- On your way to the water below, gather 4 leeches and destroy a wooden pallet on the far left; swim to the small alcove it was blocking to collect another leech and 4 pouches of coins.
- Find the path on the other side of the pool and open the large chest at the top, destroy the nearby pallet, then jump down to return to the entrance.
