The Thornback Matriarch is one of the Spider enemies found in Hogwarts Legacy. They are usually found in spider dens and defeating them counts toward completing the Defeat Spider Combat Challenge.
Description[]
This monstrosity rears up as it is about to strike its target with a powerful bite that breaks through Shield Charms. The most obvious defence is to dodge out of the way.
As it rears up, ripping it downward with Descendo will catch it off guard.
