Venomous Revenge is a side quest in Hogwarts Legacy. The quest is received by speaking to Ackley Barnes behind the Three Broomsticks.
Objectives[]
"A man is standing behind the Three Broomsticks, muttering angrily to himself. Should I engage?."
- Talk to the muttering man behind the Three Broomsticks.
"The cellar Ackley Barnes spoke of should be just down the street from the Three Broomsticks."
- Find Alfred Lawley's Cellar.
"I've found the cellar. Now to poke around and see what I can find. I should be careful not to be notice."
"I've found the Tentacula. Now to make my way back to Mr Barnes to update him."
- Return to Ackley Barnes.
Alternative solution[]
If the player is reluctant to agree to the request in the first conversation option and then chooses the "There must be another way" option at the end, an alternative solution presents itself. Simply talking to the muttering man again allows you to give him any Venomous Tentacula from your inventory and will immediately complete the quest and give you the rewards, with him being none the wiser. If the quest is resolved in this fashion, Alfred Lawley's Cellar still remains open and lootable, though the player must find it's location in town on their own.
